The Next Big thing blog trail

Ok, so here is the continuing adventures of the blog known as ,"The next big thing". This refers to those of us dabbling in the comic book medium here in little old Eire. Mike Lynch writer on our new title Artos kindly tagged Jason Connor (thank you sir!!) and so said tagged is here to continue (in some part) The next big thing.  I have to answer the next few questions and then suggest my mentions as next big things (if that sounds right....o-O!?). Anyway here goes

What is the working title of your books?
Ongoing titles are :The Wren and Artos

What genre does your book ?
Both are Superhero action adventure.

Give a brief synopsis of your book:
The Wren : The Wren, created in 2007 by Dubliners Jason Connor and Phil Roe. it is the adventures of Jack McCormack, a 13/14 year old boy growing up in Dubh-lynn, a city in the country of Hibernia. He has inherited superpowers from his parents and now learns what it is to become a hero while trying to juggle everything else that comes with the "Hero" territory and being a teenager.

Artos: Conor McMahon lives in the west of Hibernia in a small town called Ballyvaughan.  His family for many generations have looked after the Ailwee caves and it is said that the great bear God Art had left a talisman within the caves that one day would give a McMahon great power when needed. That day has come, it’s Conor and another young hero now enters the fray.

Where did the idea for the books come from?
The Wren was created out of a gap in Irish Comics for a comic book  that could be read by all ages. Looking for a comic book of an Irish Superhero adventure in line with Saturday morning cartoons, I couldn't find so set about creating it . As to give them more of an adventurous scope, I  decided to change Ireland to Hibernia and Dublin to Dubh-lynn. Although a lot remains the same, some things have been altered as to accommodate the world that Jack McCormack lives in.
It is a world where the Dé Danaan have left their mark through blood ties. Some people are born with superhuman gifts that are side effects from the Sidhé (Fairyfolk/ Dé Danaan) living and marrying humans. These gifts give rise to heroes, and also villains - for not all who are gifted wish to fight for the greater good. Artos then came from wanting to expand the Wren universe as such and so hence heading west. Altough there are two one shots planned also! One set in the South and one in the North.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
Yikes! Em, that is too hard a question at this stage as to be honest have always seen them as Comic book characters in their own right and maybe (wishful thinking) cartoons. Actors? I am not sure .

Ok so my tips for next big things?
Well firstly I would like to put forward Phil Roe, none of which I do would be possible without him , secondly Leeann Hamilton (Love Finn and the Fish!) and thirdly I would say Cormac Hughes as I love were his art style is heading.
